Steel - By the Numbers

Did you know...construction crews have installed approximately 442,000 tons of reinforcement steel to support our future hospital?

Below are some monthly amounts installed and weight comparisons.

  • In November 2016, we set 308,175 lbs. That's the weight of a Blue Whale (the largest animal known to have ever existed)!
  • In December 2016, we set 18,569 lbs. That's approximately six (6) average sized family vehicles!
  • In January 2017, we set 28,365 lbs. That’s about the same weight as twenty-eight (28) Grand Pianos or One (1) military fight jet!
