Cancer Treatment Redefined

With a variety of cancer specialties and local cancer centers, Franciscan Health combines targeted therapies, minimally invasive surgeries, and complex immunotherapy to provide patients with advanced cancer care. As we make strides in cancer treatment with research and clinical trials, we're beginning to redefine a disease that has defined us for far too long.

What Makes Franciscan Different?

Compassion

Our care team, from the schedulers to the nurses and doctors at the bedside to the people working behind the scenes such as housekeeping and food services, take our mission to heart - Continuing Christ's ministry in our Franciscan tradition - in how they care for our patients.

Dedication

Our cancer programs achieve some of the highest standards in cancer care and are nationally accredited with the American College of Surgeons for the Commission on Cancer and accreditations in breast and rectal cancer.

Innovation

We are on the forefront of groundbreaking treatments and offer specialty care that only a few health systems offer such as Cardio-Oncology that cares for your heart while undergoing treatment, or advanced therapies, that use the body's own cells to fight cancer.

Experience

Our cancer programs have advanced oncology specialists that bring their expertise to our communities so patients don't have to drive into a big city or navigate a complex healthcare system to receive the highest level of care and treatments.

Your Nurse Navigators At Franciscan Health

Franciscan Health Nurse Navigators serve a special, important role. As registered nurses experienced in cancer care, they are your personal guides and advocates, walking alongside you and your family during your cancer treatment journey by:

  • Being a single point of contact for patients
  • Educating and informing you about your diagnosis, treatment options, and care plan
  • Assisting with timely appointments, insurance issues, and access to resources
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement

A Second Opinion...

Further Information. More Options. New Choices.

Whether recommending changes or reinforcing your current cancer treatment plan, our goal is to help you understand your options so you can select the best treatment plan for you.

We know finances can be a concern when choosing your cancer treatment. In many cases, insurance will pay for second opinion consultations. Your deductible and any co-pays may still apply. Please contact your insurance provider for details.

During your appointment, your personalized physician team will review your situation with you and discuss appropriate treatment options. You will talk about your original diagnosis, tests, procedures and available treatments. Whatever you decide, there's never any obligation to come to Franciscan Health for treatment or to see one of our specialists.
