Prior to entering medical school, Dr. Blaney earned a masters degree in Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics from Utah State University. His research focused on body composition assessment and exercise prescription. He also earned an MBA from Utah State University while finishing his fourth year of medical school.
He enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine but is particularly interested in preventative medicine and primary care sports medicine. He has been involved with the ACSM Exercise is Medicine initiative and is currently working on developing an exercise prescription program for use in the Franciscan Health Family Medicine clinic.
Dr. Blaney is married and has three kids.
He specializes in diagnosing and treating a number of sports-related injuries.
