Accountable Care Organizations: Coordinating Care for Beneficiaries
Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) are made up of teams of healthcare providers who work together to coordinate patient care across all types of care settings. The Franciscan ACO is a quality-centered system of care that focuses on providing an optimal healthcare experience to people with Medicare fee-for-service and other insurance programs.
With the launch of the Franciscan Alliance Pioneer ACO in 2012, Franciscan Health began pursuing a more quality-centered system of care that focused on providing an optimal healthcare experience to people with Medicare Fee-for Service we are fortunate to serve.
Franciscan ACO, Inc., transitioned into the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) in 2015 and continues to expand Accountable Care Organization programming to include partnerships in Medicare, Medicare Advantage and commercially insured populations.
