Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that allows participants to enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. The course reinforces the important concepts of basic life support, ACLS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the ACLS course is to improve the quality of care provided, resulting in improved outcomes. Participants will have the opportunity to perform skills in a highly realistic simulated enviornment.
The two-day provider course is offered monthly on two consecutive days, meeting 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days. This course is ideal for physicians, nurses, paramedics and other allied health professionals who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of an adult patient whether in or out of the hospital.
