BLS (CPR) for Healthcare Providers teaches the skills of CPR for all ages including relief of a foreign body airway obstruction, the use of ventilation with a barrier device including bag-mask ventilation and the use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
The cost is $55 to the general public and free to Franciscan Health employees. The fee covers all course materials. Payment is due at the time of registration. Enrollment is limited, so early registration is advised. Fees are non-refundable. Staff members who require Healthcare Provider CPR for their jobs may take this class at no charge. Staff registration is through Learning Compass.
Who should enroll?
Healthcare professionals, students in a heatlthcare field or anyone who works in direct contact with patients. This class is appropriate for those taking it for the first time or those whose CPR card has expired. This class is also open to the general public.
