- Feb. 13, 2019: “Life Balance” – Life so often flies by and the busy-ness of life can impact us in ways we don’t even realize. In this session, we have a therapist from Franciscan Health that will discuss how prioritizing and time management techniques can impact stress and how we can overcome the craziness of life using many of these techniques.
- May 15: “State of Healthcare” – Healthcare in the United States is in a seemingly constant state of change and each change brings with it the need to re-examine work flow and the best methods to providing excellent patient care and customer service. Staff from Franciscan Health’s Administrative team will present on the ever-changing state of healthcare and how Franciscan Health continues to adapt to these changes.
- Aug 14: “Medicare 101” – In the time leading up to open enrollment for Medicare plans, we will offer a session in which representatives from Franciscan Health Insurances Services will discuss the basics of Medicare, including Medicare Parts A – F, Medicare Supplement Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans as well as life insurance and travel insurance plans. This session is perfect for the individual who will soon be turning 65, the family member helping someone turning 65 or even someone who has had Medicare for years, but wants to learn more about Medicare replacement or supplemental plans.
- Nov. 13: “Diabetes Prevention” – Approximately 9.4% of Americans (30.3 million people) have diabetes. That number is higher in Indiana, with 13.7% of our population having diabetes and 35.6% of the adult population having prediabetes, according to the American Diabetes Association. Join us as we hear from a member of Franciscan’s Healthy Living Center Diabetes Prevention Program who will be discussing methods for preventing diabetes, as well as the cause and effects of diabetes.
