The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) in collaboration with the American Heart Association (AHA) has set national standards for training in the resuscitation of newborns. This course is known as the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Offered in a high-fidelity simulation environment, this course teaches a standardized approach to neonatal resuscitation based on current evidence. Participants will experience hands-on learning and immersive simulations to improve their ability to perform critical assessments and interventions. All simulations are followed with meaningful debriefing
to enhance understanding and learning. It is strongly encouraged for participants to purchase the book,
NRP 7th Edition.
PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS Must have completed the online test through HealthStream prior to coming to class. This program is open to all physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics and any other health care professionals involved in resuscitation efforts.
