Pre-Diabetes is a free evening course for people who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes. With healthy lifestyle changes — such as eating healthy foods, including physical activity in your daily routine and maintaining a healthy weight — you may be able to bring your blood sugar level back to normal. This is a four-series class, with three classes meeting one month and then one follow up class three months later. Class meets the first three Wednesdays of every month from 4 to 6 p.m.
Class topics include:
Class 1: What is pre-diabetes/physical activity/exercise
Class 2: Nutritional management and meal planning
Class 3: Staying motivated and behavior change
Follow-up class: Weight check, assess goals and support

Ask your physician to fax your order and blood sugar lab results to the Diabetes Center, fax (317) 865-5321. A member of the Diabetes Center staff will call you to schedule a personal appointment prior to the group meetings. Paperwork will be sent to you to complete before the first session.
