The Basic Tuberculosis Validation Course is a two-step process coordinating the Indiana State Dept. of Health (ISDH) IN-TRAIN online course and the American Lung Association in Indiana (ALAIN) live Competency Validation.
The course is designed for health care professionals who administer, read and record Mantoux tuberculin skin tests. After completing the online course, participants must complete the live Competency Validation within 60 days. This two-step process will acquaint health care workers with current trends, concerns, policies and protocols for tuberculosis infection and disease. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a validation card. Validation is due every three years.
Class Fees and Registration
All classes are held either 8 to 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Advance registration and payment is required. Fee for non-hospital employees is $45. Upon registration, an online link will be sent in order to complete the online portion of the course.
