Walk With A Doc - Olympia Fields

Franciscan Health is encouraging Southland residents to take a step toward better health and Walk with a Doc.
Walk with a Doc brings doctors and patients, patient families and community members together for a rejuvenating walk every Saturday at 8:00 a.m. at Bicentennial Park in Olympia Fields.
The Franciscan Health Walk with a Doc program begins on Saturday, April 8, and continues every Saturday, except May 20, until Saturday, June 17. Each walk will be led by a Franciscan Health Heart and Vascular specialist, who will provide support to participants and answer questions during the walk.
Walk with a Doc is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to encourage healthy physical activity in people of all ages, and reverse the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle in order to improve their health and wellbeing.
"This program has had tremendous participation and success in hundreds of U.S. cities," said Patricia Peele, Cardiovascular Services Director at the Franciscan Health Heart & Vascular Institute. "Franciscan Health is pleased to bring this exciting and simple program to Chicago's Southland, because it has helped to improve the health of countless people across the country."
Bicentennial Park is located at 3401 W. 203rd Street in Olympia Fields.
