INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Get in. Get out. Get better. That's what patients soon will discover for their healthcare needs at Franciscan ExpressCare CityWay.
Downtown Indianapolis' only urgent care center will begin welcoming patients Octotober 29 at 325 South Alabama Street. It will be open 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day of the year.
In addition to treatment of minor illnesses and injuries, Franciscan ExpressCare CityWay will offer a full-service occupational medicine clinic, X-ray and lab services, school, sports and camp physicals, electrocardiograms, breathing treatments, employment and insurance physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, flu and tetanus shots, immunization clinics and travel medicine expertise.
"Our new facility will provide close and convenient access to medical care not only to nearby residents, but also to those who work and socialize in downtown Indianapolis," said Paul Driscoll, MD, executive medical director for Franciscan Physician Network.
The clinic occupies 10,000 square feet. The development, which broke ground in June 2018, was coordinated in partnership with Buckingham Companies.
Patients will also have the added convenience of access to the nearby Franciscan CityWay, 426 South Alabama Street, Suite 100. Doctors and other clinicians provide a range of expertise including family and sports medicine, free sports injury checks, physical therapy, obstetrics/gynecology care, massage therapy, and lab and imaging services.
For years, Franciscan Physician Network has operated urgent care centers in Beech Grove, 5210 East Thompson Road, and Greenwood, 1001 North Madison Avenue. Soon, patients in northwestern Johnson County will have the option of visiting Franciscan ExpressCare Stones Crossing ,1703 West Stones Crossing – opening November 14, 2018.
Most insurance and managed care plans are covered at all Franciscan ExpressCare centers. No appointments are necessary.
