Franciscan Health Medical Director, Cardiologist Among First Group of Fellows Inducted into Society
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Ryan Daly, MD, has been elected as a Fellow of the Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR).
He is among the first class world-wide of 100 to be inducted as a Fellow of SCMR, an international, independent organization committed to the further development of cardiovascular magnetic resonance through education, advocacy, quality control, research and training. This honorific reflects the recognition of a distinguished level of professional and scholarly achievement, integrity and competence, according to SCMR.
Dr. Daly, a member of Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians (IHP), specializes in cardiovascular imaging, specifically cardiovascular MRI, cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography and cardiovascular disease. He is board-certified in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, cardiovascular CT, internal medicine and cardiology. He is the medical director of advanced cardiovascular imaging (cardiac CT and MRI) at Franciscan Health Indianapolis.
He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, where he later completed an internal medicine internship and residency training. He completed his undergraduate training at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where he graduated with a bachelor of science in chemistry with "high distinction."
A Bargersville, Indiana resident, Dr. Daly joined IHP in 2010. Before his affiliation with Franciscan Health, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He also obtained advanced fellowship training in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging from Brigham and Women's Hospital (a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate) in Boston.
Dr. Daly has received numerous clinician and national academic awards throughout his career, including the American Heart Association Laennec Young Clinician Award. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Echocardiography and a member of the Society of Cardiovascular CT and American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.
Headquartered in New Jersey, SCMR has more than 2,600 members, which includes cardiologists, radiologists, technologists and administrators from around the world.
