Free Franciscan Health Forum in Columbus Focuses on Women's Heart Disease
COLUMBUS, Indiana – It's often a hectic schedule of work, taking care of kids, aging parents and running errands. Often, women are so busy tending to others they forget to care for themselves and in doing so, they will ignore or be unaware of their risk of heart disease.
Franciscan Health will put that issue in the limelight Tuesday, May 16 in its latest installment of The Stethoscope Series at the Bartholomew County Public Library (536 5th Street) in Columbus. The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., is free to the public.
Ryan Daly, MD, a cardiologist with Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians, will explain the signs and symptoms of heart disease and recommend ways women can take steps to lower their risk.
Registration for the event is strongly encouraged and participants may do so by calling (877) 888-1777, or by visiting franciscanhealth.org/Stethoscope. Light refreshments and a gift will be provided to attendees.
