Local Girl Scouts Deliver Halloween Treats to NICU Babies at Franciscan Health Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - Girl Scouts from Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church created homemade Halloween costumes for our littlest patients at Franciscan Health Indianapolis. The costume capes, which included superheroes, animals, butterflies and Ninja Turtles, were designed to be easily worn around tubes or wires.
The handmade costumes were presented to families of NICU patients, and hospital staff took "Baby's First Halloween" photos as a keepsake.
The girls, in fourth through seventh grades, got the idea after seeing a news story about a similar project last year in Kansas City.
