MOORESVILLE, Indiana – Bruce Reed Durell, MD, has joined Franciscan Physician Network Kendrick Family Medicine.
He joins Gary Midla, MD, and a team of advanced practice providers, whose offices are located at 1001 Hadley Road, Suite 100. The practice, which is conveniently located on the Franciscan Health Mooresville campus, offers a range of family medical services to Morgan County residents.
Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Durell most recently was a member of Indiana Polyclinic in Indianapolis. He has held family medicine positions in Avon, Indianapolis and Wisconsin.
Dr. Durell served as director of emergency services while on active duty with the U.S. Air Force and assigned to the 842nd Strategic Hospital at Grand Forks Air Force Base in North Dakota. He received numerous commendations during his tour of duty and was honorably discharged in 1991.
A resident of Plainfield, he received undergraduate degrees in chemistry and biology from Indiana University and went on to earn his medical degree at the IU School of Medicine. He completed a family medicine residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
He is a member of the Gamma Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, American Academy of Family Physicians and was the recipient of the 2016 Indiana State Medical Association's physician community service award. He is also a Diplomate with the National Board of Medical Examiners.
