Brigitta Bittner, MD, And Christy Rund, FNP-BC, Join Franciscan Physician Network Primary Care & Geriatric Medicine Lafayette East

LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Brigitta Bittner, MD, MPH, a physician board certified in family medicine, as well as Christy Rund, FNP-BC, a board certified family nurse practitioner, have both joined Franciscan Physician Network Primary Care & Geriatric Medicine Lafayette East.

They join a team of physicians and advanced care providers who are devoted to family and senior health care, treating patients of all ages. Their office is located at 3920 St. Francis Way, Suite 209, in Lafayette, Indiana.

Dr. Bittner received her medical doctorate from Ruprechts-Karl University Medical School in Heidelberg, Germany. She did a residency in ophthalmology at Municipal Hospital Neukölln in Berlin, Germany. She then completed a residency in family medicine and a subsequent fellowship in faculty development/research at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. She also completed a master’s program in maternal and child health at School of Public Health at University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Christy Rund, FNP-BC, received an Associate of Science in nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette before going on to receive her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Indiana University Kokomo in Kokomo, Indiana. She then continued her education to achieve her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
