Cardiologist Angela Brittsan, MD, Establishes Practice With Indiana Heart Physicians

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Angela G. Brittsan, MD, PhD, has joined Franciscan Physician Network Indiana Heart Physicians.
She most recently served as an assistant professor of medicine and medical director for an Indianapolis-based cardiac transplant program. Previously, she was an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist with Lutheran Medical Group/Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and INTEGRIS Health/Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Dr. Brittsan is board-certified in advanced heart failure, transplant cardiology, cardiovascular medicine and internal medicine. Dr. Brittsan received an undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Indiana University. She received her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine (UCCOM), where she earned various accolades and scholastic honors. She also earned a doctorate in cardiovascular pharmacology at UCCOM. Dr. Brittsan completed a residency in internal medicine at UCCOM and later completed a cardiology fellowship at The Ohio State University Ross Heart Hospital.
Widely published in professional journals and with vast experience as a clinical trials investigator, she is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American College of Cardiology, Heart Failure Society of American and International Society for Heart & Lung Transplantation. She also is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
