Dan Marino, MD, Honored With Healing Hands Award

LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Franciscan Health Western Indiana has recently announced Dan Marino, M.D. as a recipient of the Spring 2018 Healing Hands Awards.

Dan Marino, MD, an emergency department physician with Envision Physician Services, is the Spring 2018 Inpatient Physician recipient of the Franciscan Health Healing Hands Award. Dr. Marino is an independent physician who chooses to practice at Franciscan Health.

Franciscan Health is blessed to have many wonderful physicians. The Healing Hands Award is presented twice a year to two physicians on the Franciscan Health medical staff. Physician nominees should exemplify our Franciscan values (Respect for Life, Fidelity to our Mission, Compassionate Concern, Joyful Service and Christian Stewardship).

Dr. Marino’s nominations commented about his commitment to the patients he sees in the emergency department, including how he communicates and cares for the patients. “Dr. Marino genuinely enjoys his job and it shows. He is always smiling. He’s friendly and personable to the patients, efficient in his work and has excellent diagnostic and procedural skills. His patients enjoy being under his care and the nursing staff enjoys working with him which improves the experience for everybody. He’s an excellent physician and just a good guy.”

Dr. Marino received his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. He completed his emergency medicine residency at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Killeen, Texas. He is board certified in emergency medicine and works in the emergency departments at Franciscan Health in Lafayette and Crawfordsville.
