Franciscan Health Announces Fall 2019 Recipient Of The Healing Hands Award In Western Indiana

LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Reneé J. Knutson, MD, an OBGYN with the Franciscan Physician Network, is the fall 2019 recipient of the Franciscan Health Healing Hands Award.

Franciscan Health is blessed to have many wonderful physicians. The Healing Hands Award is presented twice a year to physicians on the Franciscan Health medical staff in Franciscan Health's Central and Western divisions. Physician nominees should exemplify our Franciscan values (Respect for Life, Fidelity to our Mission, Compassionate Concern, Joyful Service and Christian Stewardship).

Dr. Knutson's nomination commented: "Dr. Knutson is always very calming and reassuring and can make a very difficult situation a lot less stressful by going above and beyond in caring for the needs of her patients."

Dr. Knutson received her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her residency through the Indiana University OBGYN Residency Program and is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Knutson has provided care and services in the Lafayette community since 1998.
