6/23/2021
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - Franciscan Health Central Indiana has made two key leadership appointments for its Indianapolis, Mooresville and Carmel hospitals.
Terri Ruff, Vice President of Operations, has assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer for Franciscan Health Indianapolis. Additionally, Trish Weber, RN, Chief Nursing Officer, has been named Chief Operating Officer for the Mooresville and Carmel hospitals.
In her previous role, Ruff established service line strategy and operations for greater clinical care quality improvement, cost management and growth. She has led improvements in surgery and Heart Center operations, expanded clinical collaboration services with new partner hospitals and has acted as an "ambassador" in those partnerships. Further, she has engaged physicians in quality improvement and value provision across our service lines.
Ruff’' career at Franciscan began in 1984 as a radiologist technologist and she later served as Imaging Manager. In 2002, she was named Imaging Director and a decade later became Executive Director for the Heart Center. She was appointed Vice President of Operations in 2016.
A resident of Avon, Ruff received her undergraduate degree in health arts from the University of St. Francis, were she later earned master's degrees in healthcare administration and business administration.
Weber came to Franciscan Health Central Indiana in October 2020 after more than 20 years as CNO and Vice President of Operations for Franciscan Health Michigan City. During her tenure here as CNO in central Indiana, she led a corps of nearly 1,600 nurses and has been responsible for establishing new collaborative nursing initiatives. She has been a key leader and member of our Incident Command Center during the pandemic.
In her previous role at Michigan City, Weber was the administrative leader of pharmacy, cardiology, facility operations and construction projects. She was instrumental in the design, construction and grand opening of the replacement Michigan City hospital in 2019.
Weber succeeds Peter Murphy, who retired June 4, received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Glendale College and earned her master’s degrees in business administration and health administration from Purdue University and the University of St. Francis, respectively.
