Indiana Partners With Franciscan Health Foundation, Approving Tobacco Prevention Grants In Lake And Montgomery Counties

The Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Commission at the department of health approved a $300,000 grant to renew the Franciscan Health Foundation as the lead agency for the Tobacco Prevention Coalition in Lake County over the next two years.
In Montgomery County, an $80,000 grant will go toward the creation of a Tobacco Prevention Coalition there with Franciscan Health Foundation as the lead agency.
In a letter approving the grant, Miranda H. Spitznagle, director of the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Commission, stated, "Your partnership is critical to Indiana's statewide strategy to prevent youth tobacco use, helping tobacco users quit, and increasing smoke free environments in Hoosier communities to create a healthier Indiana."
