Surgeon, Michael Bittles, MD, Signs Aboard Franciscan Physician Network Surgical Specialists Crawfordsville

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indiana – Michael J. Bittles, MD, has joined Franciscan Physician Network Surgical Specialists Crawfordsville.

Board-certified in general surgery, Dr. Bittles joins Scott Mimms, MD, and their office is located at 1704 Lafayette Road, Suite 5, Crawfordsville.

Dr. Bittles most previously was a member of Franciscan Care Services at West Point, Nebraska. He was chairman of the Nebraska Board of Medicine and Surgery and served as flight surgeon with the Nebraska Air National Guard, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel.

He received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in South Bend and earned his graduate and medical degrees at the IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed an internship and residency in surgery at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

A Fellow in the American College of Surgeons (ACS), Dr. Bittles has held memberships with the American Medical Association, Nebraska State Medical Association and the Federation of State Medical Boards.
