New Chief Nursing Officer Joins Franciscan Health Central Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - Patricia "Trish" Weber, MBA, MHA, RN, has been appointed vice president and chief nursing officer for Franciscan Health Central Indiana.

She will oversee all nursing-related operations at Franciscan Health and lead a corps of nearly 1,600 nurses at hospital campuses in Indianapolis, Mooresville and Carmel. Weber succeeds Agnes Therady, PhD, RN, who recently was named chief nursing officer for the 12-hospital Franciscan Alliance system.

Weber most previously served as vice president operations and chief nursing officer for Franciscan Health Michigan City and played a leading role in quality of care awards for the hospital. Affiliated with that hospital for 22 years, she also was the administrative leader of pharmacy, cardiology, facility operations, and construction projects.

In her leadership role, Weber also was instrumental in the design, construction and grand opening of the replacement Michigan City hospital in 2019. Further, she oversaw several free-standing sites including the Woodland Cancer Center, Woodland Ambulatory Surgery & Endoscopy Center and Chesterton Emergency Center.

Weber received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Glendale College and earned her master’s degrees in business administration and health administration from Purdue University and the University of St. Francis, respectively.

A recipient of the 2014 Influential Women of Northwest Indiana Award, Weber currently serves on the executive board for the Indiana Organization for Nursing Leadership where she also chairs the finance committee. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
