Advanced EMT Training Course

Overview

Advanced Emergency Medical Technician-Advanced (AEMT) is a level of pre-hospital provider who function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight. AEMTs perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance. The AEMT is a link from the scene to the emergency health care system. It is the goal of our program to provide students with core knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function in the capacity of an AEMT.

Successful completion of didactic, practical, clinical, and field portions of the program, evaluated through summative and formative examinations, will have qualified the students to take the State of Indiana or the National Registry Written and Practical Exams for certification as an AEMT.
