Medical Laboratory Science Program

The Franciscan Health Dyer Medical Laboratory Science Program is an internship for medical lab science students.

Medical Laboratory Science Program

Overview

The one-year program offers students the chance to train at a hospital site and a high-volume core laboratory site. Our core lab is the largest reference lab in northwest Indiana. The lab handles more than 28 million tests each year. Students work with the latest technologies and testing methods in the clinical lab

Interns must be in class eight hours a day, Monday-Friday. They take frequent written and practical exams throughout the year. Once you complete the internship, you will sit for a national board of registry exam. Read our program brochure (PDF) for more information.

The Medical Laboratory Science Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).
