Overview
Franciscan Health Central Sterile Process (CSP) program is a 12-week program with lecture and clinical rotation is to train you to sterilize surgical instruments used in various departments.
CSP duties include but not limited to:
- Clean & decontamination
- Sterilization
- Assemble and Package
- Storage and Distribution
- Long Periods of standing
- Need to be able to lift 25+ pounds
Curriculum
All content covered is based on and consistent with Sterile Processing Technical Manual, Ninth Edition and current accrediting bodies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (must provide a copy or transcripts)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, and lift 25lbs or greater
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently as all courses are taught in English
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Required immunizations (Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap)
- Current influenza vaccination or waiver
- Covid-19 vaccination or waiver (OPTIONAL)
- Current TB test
Tuition & Fees
$1085 which includes:
- Lectures
- Book and Workbook
- HSPA exam/Certification
EXCLUDED: Flash can be purchased for an additional fee (there is a classroom set available for learning).
Clinical rotation not included.
