CROWN POINT, Indiana - Board-certified gastroenterologist Ahmed Akhter, MD, is now part of the Franciscan Physician Network and is accepting new patients in Crown Point.

Dr. Akhter completed his education at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. His residency and fellowship training were done at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin.  

His clinical interests include advanced endoscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection of large polyps and hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease.

Dr. Akhter is accepting new patients at 1205 South Main Street, Suite 201 in Crown Point.
