Ajita Narayan, MD, PhD, Signs Aboard Franciscan Oncology And Hematology In Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Indiana - Ajita Narayan, MD, PhD, has joined Franciscan Physician Network Oncology & Hematology Specialists. 

She joins a team of physicians and advanced practice providers who offer a range of services to those undergoing cancer treatments. Their offices are located at Suite 1W93, 1701 South Creasy Lane Lafayette.

Dr. Narayan most recently was affiliated with the Lafayette-based Horizon Medical Group, Horizon Oncology Center and Verdi Oncology Research, where she was associate research director. She has been on staff with IU Health Arnett Horizon Oncology and Lafayette Cancer Care.

Board-certified in hematology, oncology and internal medicine, Dr. Narayan's clinical interests are focused on novel therapy strategies, clinical trials, bleeding and clotting and disorders related to cancer. 

Dr. Narayan earned her medical degree from Goa Medical College in India and received her doctorate in biochemistry from Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. She completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Luke's Hospital (Missouri), a research fellowship at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in hematology, and University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Ohio.

Widely published in professional journals and active in mentoring medical students and researchers, Dr. Narayan is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
