Bubba's 33 Bracelet Sales Benefit Franciscan Health Indianapolis Cancer Patients And Families
10/7/2021
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana - When customers dine at Bubba's 33 restaurant this fall, they are also feeding a program designed to help families undergoing the rigors of cancer care.
In October, patrons of the city's southside eatery are being encouraged to purchase pink bracelets at $1 each imprinted with "Roadies against breast cancer #B33." In turn, the proceeds will be shared with Franciscan Health Cancer Center's Patient Assistance Fund and converted into restaurant gift cards and distributed among patients and their families.
The Cancer Center determines the denomination of each card and distributes them accordingly to families.
"Bubba's 33 is passionate about the community we live in and giving back to our community. We absolutely love getting to know key members of our community and the connections we can form," said Mikayla Patrick, marketing representative for Bubba's 33. "Everyone needs to do their part in giving a helping hand and we are so glad we get the opportunity to partner with Franciscan each year."
Patrick said a $5 donation nets patrons a free appetizer for their next visit to their Indianapolis restaurant, located at 7799 South, US-31. Additionally, guests who give a $10 donation will receive a coupon for a free pizza at their next visit.
Bubba's 33 has set a goal to raise $4,500 for this year's campaign
"We are consistently moved by the generosity of Bubba's 33 toward our patients and staff. Their crew always stands ready to help whenever and wherever needed," said Joan Himebrook, community outreach coordinator for Franciscan Health Cancer Center. "While this is the fourth year for this October fundraiser for our Cancer Center, their generosity has had a far reach in helping feed staff many times during the COVID crisis. They've adopted us, and we're honored to be on the receiving end of their generosity."
