Open House To Showcase New Prenatal Assistance Program At Franciscan Health Rensselaer
RENSSELAER, Indiana - Members of the media are invited to an open house to learn about how Franciscan Health Rensselaer's new Prenatal Assistance Program will help pregnant women and new mothers provide their children with the best start possible.
The open house will be 1-5PM on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the Prenatal Assistance Program's offices in the hospital at 1104 Grace Street. Refreshments and appetizers will be provided, and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about the services offered.
The Prenatal Assistance Program focuses on improving perinatal health standards of care as well as ensuring families have a safe environment for their newborn. Additional services are focused directly on identifying high-risk expectant mothers, encouraging early and comprehensive prenatal care as well as providing education and care coordination to increase healthy behaviors and reduce infant mortality rates.
Assistance in accessing hospital and community resources includes:
- Obstetrical care, education and socioemotional support
- Insurance navigation
- WIC and SNAP assistance
- Infant safety and development education and support
- Maternal health education and support, including mental health services
- Incentivized access to Baby Depot for expectant mother and baby needs
- Diaper Pantry Access
