Overview
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR course is designed to teach CPR skills for victims of all ages, use of an AED, relief of foreign-body airway obstruction, ventilation with a barrier device, and a bag-mask device to physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physician assistants, other health care providers and prospective BLS instructors who require certification.
Requirements
This course is appropriate for healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, physician assistants, other health care providers and prospective BLS instructors who require certification. Anyone who works in direct contact with patients may also register.
A written test and skills performance test is required to obtain certification.
Classes are held monthly from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $65 for non-hospital employees, which covers all course materials.
Fees are non-refundable.

Advanced registration and payment are required. Enrollment is limited, so early registration is advised.
