S.T.A.B.L.E. serves as a concise educational tool to organize the many details necessary to stabilize and care for infants. It teaches the management of:
- Sugar and safety
- Temperature
- Airway
- Blood pressure
- Labs
- Emotional support
This course is intended for perinatal nurses, respiratory technicians, physicians, medics and EMS providers.

Didactics
This program involves an eight-hour interactive didactic presentation by experts in neonatal intensive care.
Requirements
You must review and bring the S.T.A.B.L.E. 6th edition learner manual to the course. You must also complete the S.T.A.B.L.E. pre-test prior to class.
Manuals may be purchased at The S.T.A.B.L.E Program store. Franciscan Health employees may borrow the 6th edition from the Indianapolis Education Center.
