Overview
PA rotations give students real-world experience. These rotations prepare you for your career as a physician assistant.
We offer rotations at hospitals and physician practices in the Indianapolis, Mooresville and Carmel area. A preceptor will supervise your rotation.
Requirements
Before you apply, you must:
- Make sure your college or university has an affiliation agreement with Franciscan Health.
- Give us contact information for a committed Franciscan preceptor. You should submit this before you complete your student application.
Before your clinical rotation begins, you must provide:
- Negative national criminal background check (within the last 12 months)
- Negative tuberculosis skin test (QuantiFERON gold test or chest X-ray)
- Proof of vaccination for:
- MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and rubella titer
- Hepatitis B series or note from doctor
- Varicella (chicken pox) vaccination or titer
- DTaP
- Influenza vaccine (if rotation is during flu season, October 1 – March 31)
- Negative drug screen
- Completed security access form for Epic training
- Franciscan Health Orientation Module

Application Process
Complete the NP/PA/MD/DO Student Application (DOC) and email it to the program manager to begin the process.
