Basic Tuberculosis (TB) Clinical Competency Validation

Overview

This two-step process course will acquaint health care workers with current trends, concerns, policies and protocols for tuberculosis infection and disease. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a validation card.

Validation is due every three years.

All classes are held from 8 to 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fee for non-hospital employees is $75. 


Requirements

This course is designed for health care professionals who administer, read and record Mantoux tuberculin skin tests. After completing the online course, participants must complete the live Competency Validation within 60 days.


Application Process

Advance registration and payment is required. Upon registration, information will be sent in order to complete the online portion of the course.
