Learn To Stop The Bleed In An Emergency

No matter how quickly professional emergency responders arrive, bystanders will always be first on the scene of an accident. A person who is bleeding can die from blood loss in as little as five minutes. By knowing how to “Stop the Bleed,” you could save a person’s life.
“While mass shootings currently get a lot of attention, serious bleeding incidents are more likely the result from everyday injuries that occur at home, work school, or on the road,” said Meme Fortimis, who teaches Stop The Bleed classes through Franciscan Health Indianapolis. “Our program teaches how to effectively provide care until medics arrive and provides users with emergency packs.”
