The Franciscan Health Community Benefit team is a small core team led by Administrative Director Kate Hill-Johnson. This team works to ensure that Franciscan Health plays an active role in serving our communities. They engage staff and community partners throughout our service areas to further health-centered programs and initiatives. This team also manages data and reports about who we are serving and how much money and time are given back.
The core focus for community health is centered around Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The goal is to spread awareness about ACEs and help combat the health effects influenced by ACEs.
Some of our initiatives that support ACEs include:
The Benefit Report includes data breakdowns on things like numbers served and financial data, as well as where that money went (such as community health services, Medicaid and patient financial assistance).
Want more details on how Franciscan Health is serving in our communities? Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNA) are broken down by location and available for each of our service areas. These are put together in a way that is a littel easier to read and they provide interesting insight into each community.
